Faces of Botswana

Botswana is Africa's oldest and most successful democracy. It is a peaceful, stable and safe country governed by a multiparty democratically elected government. The country has good fiscal policy, high transparency and is a good investment destination. Recent Global Peace Index (GPI) reports show Botswana as one of the most peaceful nations in the world, and one of the safest in Africa. Botswana has low corruption and high transparency as measured by Transparency International. The people of Botswana (collectively called Batswana) comprise several different ethnicities living harmoniously together.
