Faces of Botswana Coffee-table Book

faces of botswana place holder_edited.jp

Following on a life-long passion for experiential travel I decided to document the life, culture and heritage of the people of Botswana through photography. The resulting images were compiled into a high quality coffee-table book called Faces of Botswana.

The current instalment of Faces of Botswana is a visual celebration of the cultural heritage of the San people; one of the oldest surviving cultures in the world. It uses evocative images to weave our culture into the fabric of our national brand. The book explores links between different elements of dance, storytelling, identity and inclusion; and provides a glimpse into a bygone era and way of life.

The project was funded by CIPA through their Levy on Technical Devices Fund in the area of Book Publishing and Preservation of Botswana Culture. The book which was printed and bound in Singapore is 308 pages, measures 320mm (12.6 in) by 250mm (10 in) and weighs 2.25kg or about 5 pounds.
